About me
Leonardo Basana, photographer, born November 1990 in Venice, Italy.
He discovers photography at 16 during his studies in Advertisement Graphics.
His work is mostly focused on portrait and fine-art photography.
His atmospheres range from the most delicate to the most unsettling ones. As a photographer, he always tries to keep his visual communication non-ostentatious, but neutral and quiet. In his works, he likes to explore single themes and to create self-descriptive artworks.
The primordial notion of photography is eternally fascinating and surprising for him. Photography is an art and a science offering the possibility to stop time, a light radiation - just like the human eye does – which is then interpreted by the mind, giving way to emotion.
“Photography is everywhere nowadays. People see tons of images every day. But if you take a moment to look at an old picture, in a family album, or if you look at a picture taken by a friend a decade ago...I am sure that sensation of wonder and surprise resurfaces”.
In Leonardo’s view, photography is a humble art, a collaboration between the artist, light, and the subject…which allows to convey an everchanging world.
